Boxtrailers introduces a DIY tiny home system using factory components

It’s a simple idea. Don’t reinvent the wheel. Having built the trailers in the tiny-home factory, we now offer the DIY builder the same components as the factories. Only we look at every step to keep your cost down. The one part the DIY builder can’t do is the trailer, but most trailers offered as tiny-home trailers are not what the factories use. They cost far more because they are not designed for tiny homes, but are more like caravan trailers.

fACTORY-MADE MOBILE/TINY HOMES BUILT ON THE BOX-TRAILER CHASSIS

This is a standard 9m trailer with the optional $450 paint applied in the workshop.

Trailer is 2.5m wide x 9m long. The rails (the part the FrameCad floor rests on) are 2.025 m wide. 2.55m is the maximum width permitted on the road and anything wider is an automatic WOF fail. However, if the cabin is a removable payload, it can be 3.1m wide as a Category One oversize (no pilot vehicle needed). This width includes spouting, lights, handles, etc.
