Factory ready steel frame

Set up for FrameCad floor/wall/roof system

“Steel Frame Direct (SFD) use the leading Frame Cad roll formers in three profiles, 64mm, 89mm and 150mm.  Light gauge steel framing is all they do, and they do it well, so their pricing is extremely competitive.  Pricing starts from only $4,229 inc gst /  ($3,679 ex), this is for a single level 2.9m x 6m frame kit.  Longer and taller structures with loft spaces no problem, virtually everything they manufacture is custom to order.

For Box Trailer clients, the floor panel frame are made using a thicker grade of steel in 150mm profile, so it is much stronger and designed so it can be bolted rather than welded or tech-screwed to the chassis. The bolting means the cabin becomes a removable payload that is a legal Category One oversize (2.6 to 3.1 m wide) under current LTSA rules. The beefing up also means you can put jacks and braces outside of the 2.5m wide trailer, unbolt the floor and lift the whole cabin (about 3,000 kg max). Then you can slide the trailer out if, for example you needed to get a WOF after the first 3-year WOF expired.

The $4,229 price example provides you with the standard factory design. However, if you source lower cost joinery – say either through Trade Me or excess stock from a joinery factory – for a small fee SFD can change the design for you. The software they use drives the steel feeding, cutting, punching and bending machines so once the design is changed on their systems, the modifications come out to the millimetre. Just make sure you provide accurate measurements.

The panels will fit vertically on your trailer to tow home. SFD will strap them on. Each panel can be lifted by two people, and they are fitted together using a strong battery drill and tech screws.  SFD for a discounted price for Box Trailer clients, will stand your frames to your trailer if required.”

The panels will fit vertically on your trailer to tow home. SFD workers will help strap them on, but not take responsibility. If you want them to deliver (at their responsibility), they have a custom designed carrier. Each panel can be lifted by two workers and they are fitted together using a strong battery drill and tech screws.
